Dust jacket to volume two has a tear along the lower spine area, mended on the underside with clear tape. Some rubbing to dust jackets. A very good set in like dust jackets. Note: this is a large and heavy set of volumes.
Short introduction in German on rectos only. The remainder of all three volumes focusses on French erotic book illustrations from the 18th century. Title pages are reproduced of each book followed by plates pertaining to that book. Most plates in black and white but there are some in color. Plates on rectos only. An outstanding collection of erotic imagery.
