This work includes a large number of ritual instructions, exorcisms, spells, amulets, and hymns which invoke the Great God Djehuty (Tehuti or Thoth) and exalt His BA. The entire ritual cycle aims first at inducing a necessary state of Chaos after which the theurgist is slowly pulled into the Light of Djehuty’s Gnosis. The main poetic ritual itself consists of the following prayers and hymns: Prayer for Gnosis; Prayer to the Most Beloved Emanation; Prayer for Acknowledgement; Prayers to the deities of the 5 Epagomenal Days - Wesir, Heru-wr. Sutekh, Aset, Nebet-het; Hymn to Djehuty Who Assigns Names to God and Man; Hymn to the Thrice Great Djehuty; Prayer to the Serpent Naas, the Christ Who is the Word But Not the Voice; and Hymn to Heryhuti. There are also the following curses and spells: Useful Spell to Acquire Assistance From the Wandering Dead; A Curse from Sutekh against Enemies; Exorcism of the Dancing Dwarf; Binding Spell to Subdue the Deeds of the Wicked. There are also a Phylactery for Protection, and one for Luck in All Matters.
