Paris: editions dominique leroy-snel, 1978. First Edition. Hardcover. Small folio (10 x 12 inches). 96pp. Bound in pictorial boards. Illustrated throughout with b&w drawings (and a few in color) by Carlo. Some bumps and wear to corners. A very good copy.
A collection of fetish and bondage images by Carlo, who illustrated a number of French erotic books in the 1930s. With his bizarre graphic inventions sporting a wickedly refined taste, Carlo was a forerunner of the genre and became the source of inspiration for a whole generation of fetish and bondage artists, including John Willie, Eric Stanton, Gene Bilbrew (Eneg), and many others.
