These were originally published by Irving Klaw's Nutrix imprint in 1960. These are reprints from the 1970s (a more modern reprint has recently been issued with both volumes in one book). The artwork is by Jim who began his career as a draftsman in his native Switzerland, producing technical drawings. The bondage illustrations he did for Mr. Klaw reflect his industrial orientation. In the scenes portrayed here, the artist utilizes mainly ropes and chains, binding the shapely prisoners to leather, steel, bamboo and wood devices, including pillories, stocks, yokes and an enormous spoked wheel.
