VINTAGE FETISH: IRVING KLAW
Books published by and about Irving Klaw, whose imprint ‘Nutrix’ began selling digest-sized fetish books in the late 1950s, featuring illustrations by some of the best fetish artists in the business (Eric Stanton, Gene Bilbrew, Ruiz, Jim, and many others). Klaw also produced similar books using bondage photographs instead of illustrations.

Some historical bondage here within the harem of the Sultan Abou Ben Fez, located in a small citadel of Azia, and ruled by the Sultan's head mistress, Jezebel. Jasmine's Predicament was first issued in 1953 as a chapter serial and is significant for one reason: it is the first clear collaboration between Eric Stanton and Spiderman creator Steve Ditko. The two would eventually share a work studio from 1958 to 1968.
