VINTAGE FETISH: IRVING KLAW
Books published by and about Irving Klaw, whose imprint ‘Nutrix’ began selling digest-sized fetish books in the late 1950s, featuring illustrations by some of the best fetish artists in the business (Eric Stanton, Gene Bilbrew, Ruiz, Jim, and many others). Klaw also produced similar books using bondage photographs instead of illustrations.

[KLAW, Irving] Tortured Prisoners of the Spanish Inquisition Volume Number Two (1962)
Jersey City: Nutrix Co., 1962. First Edition thus. Stapled wrappers. 62pp. With 30 drawings by Mario. Some light edge and corner wear. A very good copy.
A lesbian bondage and discipline story. Mario's art features gagged and trussed women subjected to unique bondages (bound to cannons, weighted with cannonballs), and torture devices on a Spanish galleon. Mario was a fetish artist who worked for a short period of time for Irving Klaw. He drew two complete serials for Klaw -- "Captives of the Scientists" (1954) and "Prisoners of the Inquisition" (1955) -- and an unfinished piece called "Rubber Queen's Captives" (1957). All three stories were reprinted in their entirety in Belier Press's Bizarre Comix #6.
