The techniques of the Tame-Azons (professional husband-trainers) in the narrative involve forced cross-dressing to subdue and restrain the aggressive tendencies of the males in their charge. The artist Harry was in Irving Klaw's ever-growing stable of illustrators. He often used dark backgrounds in his images. Harry signed his drawings with a capital H on a curled square of paper.
